The 3M 98C-1 electrical tape has a 1 mil polyimide backing with silicone adhesive. It is designed for high-temperature electrical applications where tough and thin insulation materials are required to wrap, such as coils, transformers, and capacitors.

Application

Widely used for insulation of lithium-ion batteries, protection of tin passing furnaces, automotive painting and baking, bundling and insulation of coils, capacitors, transformers, motors, etc., as well as high-temperature shielding of PCBs.
