Polyimide, abbreviation: PI. Polyimide film tape is one of the organic polymer materials with the best comprehensive performance. The high temperature resistance is above 400 ℃, and the long-term use temperature range is -240 ℃ ~ 300 ℃. It has no obvious melting point and high insulation performance.
Xinst 3m is the most typical representative of the polyimide (PI) plastic series.
Polyimide film electrical tape Superior characteristics:
• The highest working temperature in the air is high (continued 300 ℃, short time ~ 400 ° C);
• Extremely low temperature resistance, such as no brittle crack in liquid helium at -269 ℃;
• Maintains excellent mechanical strength, stiffness and creep resistance over a wide temperature range
• Low thermal expansion coefficient, excellent dimensional stability
• Excellent resistance: resistant to grease, oil, solvents
• Excellent resistance to high-energy radiation (gamma- and X-rays)
• Good dielectric properties
• Good abrasion resistance
• Flame retardant, UL94 V0.
Disadvantages:
• Not very resistant to hydrolysis
• Price is too high
Application:
PI is used in parts for aerospace and aerospace industries, fixtures for semiconductor processes, structural parts and wear parts, parts for automobiles, engineering vehicles, glass and plastic manufacturing, parts for various instruments, etc.
